LEADERSHIP
Jane Caplan, M.D.
Founder
As a Harvard trained psychiatrist and psychotherapist, I am deeply grateful for my mentors in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry during my residency and fellowship. Since that time, I have been working diligently to understand the integration of various healing modalities in order to best help people. Simply put, trauma passed down generationally affects all of us on the individual and collective level. The advent of ketamine assisted therapy and the MAPS training in MDMA demonstrated to me that there is a vast landscape of potential in the human psyche underneath all the defense mechanisms that both serve to protect us and to hold us back. Teachings with indigenous and skilled healers in other cultural contexts helped me to develop awareness that the greatest healing can occur when we remove the ego and allow for the flow of that which is greater. The question is how to integrate the neurobiology of science within an existential, spiritual and cultural context where together we are stronger.
Welcome to East West Global Healing.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Greg Horne
Greg is a VP of Marketing & Midstream at Devon Energy, in oil and gas. He was educated at the University of Oklahoma, with a bachelor’s of science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering.
Greg was raised, one of three sons, of a father who flew H-53 rescue helicopters in Vietnam and retired after 27 years as a decorated Colonel from the United States Air Force. Greg and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 32 years and have two adult children.
The Board seat matches well with where his interests have been directed over the past several years. The idea of healing across two hemispheres, where in the west our culture is full of “doers, just doing” and in the east, the culture is one of seeking, deeply seeking, and discovering that many answers may already lie in nature, hidden through the complexities of our world, especially the western world.
While golf and travel have always been main areas of interest, Greg has embarked on a journey to discover and promote pathways to healing for those who suffer severe and complex PTSD. The world often thinks of healthy bodies and healthy minds with a little nod to one’s healthy spirit thrown in as a formula for attending to suffering. The journey has him questioning if it’s in fact a majority of the emphasis which should be placed on one’s spirit.

PARTNERS
100 Club - Angela Harrolle
The 100 Club of Arizona offers financial assistance to be used for emotional wellness services for first responders struggling with the impact of their public safety profession.
Bear Lab - Candace Lewis
Our lab studies the interplay between our experiences and our biology. We are in a new era of understanding how the social environment “gets under the skin” by modifying epigenetic regulation of gene systems involved in brain development, function, and structure. Through this understanding, we can begin to unravel the complex relationships between experiences that shape cognition, mood, and behavior. This new paradigm allows us to investigate how stress, trauma, and lack of connection may lead to molecular changes that increase risk for mental disorders. Conversely, we can study how psychedelic-induced experiences of unity, connection, and insightfulness may lead to molecular changes that improve mental health.
Dragon Gate Sanctuary - Christopher Lee Matsuo
He is the living lineage holder of two pre-Taoist lineages that have been passed down each generation to a single holder who keeps the traditions alive.
